Kőbánya Preschool Sports Days 2025 - I. | Rowing and relay

This is the 27th time that the Kocsis Sándor Sports Centre in Kőbánya is organising the Kindergarten Sports Days.

The five-stage series of events started with a series of relay and relay races, with the participation of 12 kindergartens from Kőbánya.

The guests were welcomed by Dr. Gábor Imre Mátrai and Gábor Radványi, Deputy Mayors.

The Miklós Zrínyi Secondary School in District X turns 40 | Almanac presentation

The Miklós Zrínyi High School in District X opened its doors in 1984, and since then generations have grown up within its walls. The institution has not only provided its students with knowledge, but has also created a community and traditions.

To mark the 40th anniversary, the school recently published its second almanac, covering the events of the past 15 years (2009-2024). The launch of the new edition - and the celebration of the anniversary - was attended by distinguished guests and former students alike.

The Assembly of the Municipality of Kőbánya has adopted the city's 2025 budget, which is estimated at HUF 40 billion. This, and the several hours of discussions with the Mayor of Budapest, Gergely Karácsony, were discussed in an interview with Mayor Róbert Antal D. Kovács.

Health is the goal: Wing Tsun kung-fu in Kőbánya

Probably only insiders know that the school of Chinese kung fu, which was practiced by the late superstar Bruce Lee, has been practiced in Hungary for decades and has even reached Kőbánya. However, the roots of Wing Tsun in question go back even further. We recently visited one of the practitioners' groups, where we talked to masters and enthusiastic students.

"This is a letter..."

Three decades ago, Géza Bereményi, Tamás Cseh and János Másik released their second album together, Letters to my sister 2. Like the first album, the letters are addressed to Irén, and the songs are about the air of the regime change.

The Komp Collective has now taken these letters out again and will bring them to Kőbánya, KÖSZI on 26 February.

Hungarian Para Sports Day - 2025- Press Conference

Since 2018, the Hungarian Parasport Day has been held every year on 22 February. This year, for the eighth time, the national day was extended to include rehabilitation institutions in 2025, with which the organisers wanted to once again draw attention to the importance of sports for people with disabilities.

The press conference for this year's programme - which included a para-sport demonstration - was held at the Ludovika Arena of the National University of Public Service (NKE).

Para-sport is also present in the everyday life of the 10th district, and Kőbánya is also keen to support it.
